Savings account is a bank account that earns interest. You can gain money through interest, however that amount is very low. But, the savings account keeps your money safe in the bank. You gain a very small amount of interest, which may not keep up with inflation, so you will most likely lose money eventually. Why would the bank let you gain interest? Because you are letting them loan out your money, so the bank rewards you for this by giving you a little extra. You can then withdraw the money at any time by going to the bank and making a withdrawal in full or partial.
